The Apostille & Authentication Process:

  1. Notarization

  2. Determine the Correct Authority:

    State-Issued Documents (birth certificates, marriage licenses, diplomas, etc) are apostilled/authenticated by that specific state’s Secretary of State

    Federal Documents (FBI background checks, Certificate of Naturalization, Social Security Administration letters, federal court documents, etc.) are apostilled/authenticated by the U.S Department of State Office of Authentications

  3. Submit the Document and Application to the appropriate authority

  4. Receive the Apostilled Document:

    Ready for use in Hague Convention Countries (Apostille) or Non-Hague Countries (Authenticated)
